Erika Scheider, Chief of Police

Chief Erika Scheider was appointed Chief of Police in 2020. Chief Scheider began her career with the Roseville Police Department in 1997. Since that time, she served as a patrol officer, detective, sergeant, investigation lieutenant, operations lieutenant, administration lieutenant, deputy chief, and public information officer. She has served in a number of specialty positions throughout her career, including field training officer, team leader and member of the hostage and crisis negotiator team, background investigator, explorer advisor, and mentor to at risk youth and law enforcement students. She was recognized with a Meritorious Service Award from the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association (2004) and an Excellence in Performance Award from the Minnesota Association of Women Police (2005).
